The DataSave DocView system has been specifically designed to include facilities that assist a company’s compliance to PD0008: 1999, Legal Admissibility and Evidential Weight of Information Stored Electronically.
The primary objectives of these facilities are to authenticate that the stored image is a true facsimile of the original and that it has not been altered in any way.

DataSave DocView system facilities include:

Audit Trail - DataSave DocView CD Rom system ensures every document cannot be, changed, revised or deleted. The image cannot be altered or tampered with and would therefore support evidence of a document's integrity.
Archive - DataSave DocView allows for documents to be 'archived' to CD Rom maintaining the files integrity. Archived documents can be retrieved from the CD Rom if required for evidence.
Backup - DataSave DocView allows you to backup the CD Roms using your own in house systems. Provided that the Company follows an in house backup policy, the whole system's integrity is maintained.
Bureau Service – The documents are processed and monitored by a quality system, which documents all actions. The audit procedures ensure the finished work is as received to maintain the file integrity when mastered onto the CD Rom.
Document Security – Document, images cannot be changed or altered on a read only CD Rom. The images are viewable in most Imaging software products; these can be printed out as the next best evidence. The original paper document is securely destroyed to save vital storage space. DataSave offers an additional service of deep archive storage of the original paper documents.
Version Control – The original version of a document is scanned and accessible in DataSave DocView. No matter how many times a document is viewed or printed, the 'Original' version cannot be accessed to change date and time stamps.
Secure destruction – DataSave free of charge holds the documents for one month. The process is as required by the BSIA and under the current ISO9001: 2000 the scope includes secure destruction. DataSave can store documents for longer periods at a small monthly fee per Banker Box.

Network Retrieval
DataSave DocView is also network compatible allowing simultaneous multi-user access. For instance, if your documents are spread between several individual CD ROMs, each with there individual databases, DataSave can configure your network file server (Alternatively assist your IT department) and along with a master database to allow simultaneous multi-user access to the documents to any employee within your company that has sufficient privileges access to this network resource.
